Anoushka Shakar is the American and British sitarist. She was the very first and youngest female to be awarded the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shakar, a young emerging star on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London, she spent the early years of her life traveling between London and New Delhi. Her first performance took place at New Delhi when she was only 13 years old. Later she moved into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Even though she's very young Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording. For a long time she regularly performs with her father. She released her debut album in 1998. released Anourag as her first single album. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Stage performances are a important aspect of her life. She's played in many famous venues around the world. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't restricted to just music. In 2002, she wrote an autobiography titled Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is a pictorial biography which is a respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as an Bharat natyam young dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shankar's career continues to develop and we are likely to see a lot from her in the coming years. follow.
